Hello,
Seen this done on forums, but it lacked details, I thought I post this and someone might find it usefull.
Here is how I done it, its might not be the best way to do it, but worked for me.
Tools used:
Screwdriver (iFixit works)
Cleaning clay/putty
Sandpaper 180/600/1000/2000 (what I had on hand)
Double sided tape
Thread lock
Process: I opened the back by sticking some double sided tape and applying pressure while on table. Remove two screws holding in the movement. Remove stem by pressing the ejector in the hole next to it. Remove the movement and cover it from dust.
Plug the stem holes from both sides with cleaning putty and file away and stop just before the threads. I only started with 180 for a little bit, most of the work was done by 600 and finished/polished with 1000/2000.
Remove same amount of threads from crown stem. I also applied some thread lock on it.
