I just bought a gen Pam 05i
Is the movement nice enough to swap out the solid case back for an exhibition
If yes then which would fit and where could I score one

PAM005? If so, yes, find a PAM111 sapphire caseback and it will fit. I have a 111 H Factory caseback on my 005 Noob Factory, and it fits perfectly. However, the movement, while it looks identical to the 111 movement, is not as well finished on mine, the plating is a little bit hazy on one section. I guess if they get one which wasn't finished properly but is 90% correct they put it in a closed caseback watch. You probably won't have that problem though.

It basically looks like this though, the issue wouldn't show up in a photo.

As long as you include the original caseback and DO NOT SELL IT you should not lose value. Don't sell the caseback, it is individual to your watch and irreplacable, if you don't have the original when you sell it (Even if it's just boxed with it) your value would plummet.

I would go for a non rep forum.

The chances of you finding a Gen caseback are so small its not even worth starting the search. Get a replica one. It's for your enjoyment anyway.
