I purchased this via M2M sale on here not too long ago after spending ages looking for a smiley model, but it ultimately didn't get much wrist time as I managed soon after to get my hands on a blue smiley instead!
The previous owner did lots of work on this, as you can see in the previous sales thread (which I'll link at the bottom), including:
- Caseback + Crown + Case tube Gaskets Cleaned and Appropriately Re-Greased with Silicone Grease
- Wet Water Resistance Tested to 5 bars.
- Dry Wax Applied to Case Tube Threads as a Dust and Debris Repellent. Also help smoothen out the screw down action on most reps
- Rotor quietened slightly with HP1300.
- Regulated as close as possible to 0/s a day.
- Installed a Gen insert with rep Pip worth $75 (pip lume has fallen out, but this arguably gives it more character and a vintage vibe)
Since buying the model from the previous owner, and shipping it over to the UK from Canada, I've swapped out the strap for a green NATO (which I find fits the vintage/military style quite well!) and a cheap black leather NATO. Some minor scuffs on the watch, but no major dents - as I've tried to show in the photos. Happy to provide more photos if needed.
This watch is clearly a labour of love, and part of me suspects I may regret seeing this one leave - but it doesn't get enough wrist time, and should be appreciated!
I will ensure the watch is in working order prior to shipping and I am not responsible for anything happening to the watch after it leaves my hands. Likewise, I can't guarantee waterproofness or the safety of using this model underwater. The previous owner assures me that it has passed a pressure test to 5 Bars, but I personally would never risk using any rep underwater - especially not one as gorgeous as this!
I’m selling for £260 including both straps and the spare rep dial, in addition to the gen dial installed on the watch.
Once funds are cleared, photos will be taken during packaging and posting, and tracking will be provided.
