Hi guys,

I've been reading much good about the Dirk straps, and they look nice. Also I like that they presumable have some history as supplier to Panerai back in the day. And that they're waterproof?

In any case, the only way I found to order was to write an email to Dirk. I did that a few weeks back, inquiring about buying a strap. Haven't had a word back, and was wondering if I should write again or find another means of contact?

Have searched this forum and others for more information, but haven't found much.

Appreciate any help and advise. Thanks

Dirk straps are among the best you can buy. The quality of the leather is amazing. Years and years ago, he did produce some waterproof straps, but his current hides are not waterproof. Ask him if he has any waterproof hides left. Also ask about the "buckle upgrade";)

Grimlocktime Damn I never thought about asking him for a buckle upgrade. I know about issues he had with Panerai after Vendome took over and he still produced straps. Never thought he'd still produced them

His sharkskin straps, vero squalo, are waterproof I think

pure b Thanks for the link, that's much more useful than whatever outdated information I was looking at. I'll write him again based on that.
Grimlocktime thanks for the heads up and the encouragement! Now I only need to decide on the color, since the mustard one I was inquiring doesn't seem to be in production any more... :)

Grim is right, the buckle upgrade is the way to go.... Dirk, btw, is a gentleman and an authority in Panerai history
