I'm about to order a custom strap and they offer different buckles. My two choices are the flat old school sewn-in GPF and a screw-in Pre-V. I only have experience with OEM buckles and they look good and are very comfortable. I like the looks of the flat GPF buckle better than the Pre-V, but I'm concerned that it won't be as comfortable as the curved Pre-V. And it's stuck in the strap and can't be taken out.
I'd like some feedback from experienced owners on which one they prefer and why. Does the GPF get stuck under jacket sleeves? Does it cause pressure on the bottom of the wrist? Or is it as comfortable as the Pre-V? Do you care about the GPF Mod-dep engraving at the bottom of the buckle?
The strap is a vintage, raw edged, thick type, for my Noob 372![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
