Difference in Datewheel Rolex Font (3135)?

I purchased two datewheels from fierygems on eBay (known used gen rolex part seller) and just did a gen crystal/datewheel swap on my CF Pepsi and Batman. But i'm suprised at how different the font is between the two.

Depending on the year of the DW was the font Rolex used changed? Or was one of the DW's I purchased not genuine? At first I thought it was a magnification difference as the Pepsi is using a 2.85mm Clark Gasket on the Crystal, and the Batman is using a Gen Rolex Crystal but I think it's actually the font being substantially thicker on one than another after doing some measurements on the pictures in photoshop.

Anyone have any thoughts?

There are a few fonts on a 3135 date wheels. From Rolex on build, I have seen a few. Fat font, serif font. On replacement I have seen thin font. There are also rare old open 6 and 9 3135 date wheels.

Like everything Rolex makes there are different batches which may have slight differences. As @occb2 mentioned there are several distinctly different 3135 datewheels.

Yours are probably both gen, I've not known Fierygems to be anything but authentic when they say a part is gen.

A difference in mag level won't make a font look bolder, just bigger. So what you are seeing is not due to the cyclops and should have been apparent before the install. If you want them to be exact matches you probably need to buy two new blistered ones from the same or new lot and use the same crystals. Otherwise you could try a different one for the bolder one. I wouldn't be thrilled about that one either. By itself its OK but because you have a pair, that would be the one to replace.

They look the same size. When comparing pics, first set the scale with like parts - cyclops. hour markers etc. Then you can slide the pics around to compare other elements.

Ummm sooo yea that was an above and beyond response @KJ2020

Thank you so much! I'll try and source another DW and replace whichever one looks the closest! Really appreciate the help!
