Well, you really "buy the seller". I have actually communicated with that seller and although he could not fill the need, he was very quick to respond.

I bought a watch from him after reading about him from reddit but unfortunately the watch got lost somewhere and he sent me a new one immediately no question asked

All this stuff comes from the same places. That said the advantage of buying from a TD is the support you get afterwords.
It's a craps shoot...you pay and then you may get a decent watch or a QA reject from our TDs. No way to know. I've thought about trying one, but I really like to know what I'm getting ahead of time, not a surprise... pleasant or unpleasant.

none, for real, you will be very disappointed with the product quality, better save a bit more and get a watch from a TD here, its a well worth time and money "invest".
If I had a gun aiming to my head and had to choose a method, I would definitely choose the cheapest or "free" one and consider the money spent as a help for a poor family in china, product straight to the trash bin.
I'm in no way advocating DH but this was the watch I was talking about on my previous post. It was $48 lol

You must know where to buy or maybe I only see the failures. I just don't get why anyone would take the risk.

Really a no brainer. Just like ebay. Pick a seller and watch with lots of feedback. Order. Jason007 is most peoples go to. He has probably sold more watches than all the TDs here. That said you are buying a low end watch. Just the way it is. I don't buy high end stuff there, but its fun in the same way a bubble gum machine is.

I was looking at this site this morning because Noob and I have to ignore all the advice of course.
Some watches have a LOT of good feedback, I see it as similar to trout fishing, you may catch something good for your money or you may not.
Also the site is huge and the search facility sucks.
