Hi all,
thinking of dipping my toes into pam reps via getatwatch.
I fancy a titanium, black face, display back one and i'm tempted by a lefty: to be worn on left wrist though. Partly to avoid cg digging into the back of my hand, and partly just because they're a bit different.

Do they use the same mech as the normal one rotated thru 180 degrees?

Do you guys think a lefty watch on the left wrist (ie cg on the arm side) looks naff?

Thoughts welcome!
Ric

Hi Ric,

I am a lefty but wear standard watches on my right wrist (so mirrored to what your asking)
Personally I dont think it makes that much difference, people seem to comment on the fact I wear a watch on the 'wrong' wrist rather than pushers and cg on the wrong side.
I cant answer you about the movement rotation.

Sounds like a good looking watch, have you got any pics?

Hope my thoughts are of help.

I am a lefty and wear them on my left. That way I can actually wind them.

So true about winding, that's why I generally go for an automatic to eliminate this.
I find that the pushers are not difficult to operate when on right wrist though.

You can always "flip" a base model PAM (put the dial in upside down), and you have a unique destro. Like my 114

oooh, that's clever. Great to know. You just flip the dial?
Sometimes the solutions are really nice and simple! Is that the only difference between leftys and normal - the dial in upside down?

I flipped the CG as well. The only tells are that the lug screws go in from the wrong side, and you have to wind the watch "the wrong way"! The winding "problem" is not unique for reps though, my 217 works the same way!
If you want a Ti model the 176 is the model you are looking for!
