Deployant vs tang buckle

A question I wish to pose. I know that some deployants are uncomfortable, but I am wondering if there is one out there that is not too bad that has the PAM engraving? I see some on the bay, but am hesitant to pull the trigger. I want to put this on an oem 115/95 instead of the tang buckle. If I read correctly, it should work to put a deployant on that strap for a 7.5in wrist. Any advice is welcome.

As long as the deployment rest flat in the middle of your wrist, it will be comfortable. It will starts to annoy you once it moves to your side wrist.

thanks. I am hoping it will on a 115/95. From what I saw, the 115/75 would be small for a deployant on a 7.5in wrist, so I did not want to try that size.

All Panerai ones do suck, badly, in my opinion, may be with a bit of exemption for the Radiomir ones but even they are a long cry from IWC, not to mention JLC or VC ( I am talking gen here, reps are pretty much reflecting this but with poorer quality of manufacture). For panerai, tang is all the way for me.

I bought the asso with deployant from Ryan and I don't have complaint about the comfort issue with those....give them a look

I have deployants rep and gen and I feel very comfortable with them. I prefer the deployant but with the historic type watches the best is tang buckle.

I can not imagine a PAm 127 with deployant. It deserves prison

Thanks for the info. I think I will have to try a deployant and see how it feels I think and see how much, if any, wrist slide I get.

I find there are three types of 24mm straps out there.

24/24 buckle only. Mostly pre-v
24/22 thumbnail buckle only due to thickness. If you attempt to slide this into a deployant, you will scrape the hell out of it when you slide it out.
24/22 specifically for deployant. The deployant clasp is very tight and is ideal for a 2mm thickness at the end, maybe 3mm tops. You'll still scrape the hell out of it if you slide it out incorrectly.

That said, I like the deployant because of convenience and hopefully less wear on the strap. It's not as comfortable, but it's close.
