Deployant on a Fiddy?

I have a Fiddy arriving tomorrow and already I think I want to install a deployant leather strap on it. Is this normally done on a PAM this big?
I don't think I've ever seen one on a Fiddy which is why I ask. If anyone has experience with this and/or pics, would love to hear from you. My wrist is about 8.25" BTW...

i dont think i have ever seen a deployant clasp on a fiddy.. personally i dont think it fits the look. The fiddy is a big watch and deserves a big chunky buckle.

I am considering what will be my next fiddy strap.
deployant is definately way to small for the fiddy, imo.
I like a 26/26mm strap, but have once made the mistake of buying a 6mm thick one.
the next one will be 4mm thick, because I think the sleek shape of the fiddy case looks better, with a less "bombastic" lookin strap.

so my advise: 26/26, 4mm thick, with a nice pre-v buckle.

Noob question...26/26 means what? I know the spread at lug is 26mm for the Fiddy. Does the other 26 mean no taper to ends of strap (buckle and other side)?

Yes exactly 26mm at the lugs and 26mm at the buckle

There are some 24mm deployants out there, so you could probably find a 26/24 strap that would work with the Fiddy. However, as the Fiddy is an homage to the vintage watches of the early 50s, I wouldn't put a deployant strap on it. But, it's about what YOU like.

www.panatime.com has some 24mm or even 26mm deployants and straps for good prices if you want to test it out for relatively small money...
