How can you verify Authenticity without Box and Papers. Just have to assume? I will never understand this.

I guess you have to go by seller ratings there on ebay land. Sometimes those big sellers also sneak one one. Experts can tell by eye though. I am not one of them.

Looks GEN to me. Datewheel has correct font and isn't sunken. Pearl looks good. But I'm no super expert.

He valve position looks too low to me.

Pretty sure this is gen. I am no expert, but it has all of gen Omega's quality: good AR, lume looks correct and peal and bezel look genuine.

It would be kinda scary though dropping that kind of money on a watch with no box or papers.

Personally even if it was gen I wouldn't drop that much with out at least the papers. I can't believe anyone would not keep the papers for such an expensive item.
