Daytona Clean vs Deep Crystal Comparison

Here's the comparison of my Deep crystal swap on my Clean 116505 Daytona. I tried my best to get both images at the same spot, angle, and lighting conditions. I think the original Clean picture may be slightly more off angle, but immediately noticeable on how much clearer it is. I'm impressed and think it was well worth the effort.

No I sent the watch out for service and waterproofing, so decided to do the Deep crystal as well.

Its verry easy if you hava a crystal press. You can buy them from ebay for 15$

That’s the first thing I noticed right away when I received my clean Daytona, the crystal is no where near as clear as my BTF.
It has very bad reflection/glare on most angles and only looks fine straight on.

I’m convinced I was divinely inspired to get into this hobby to punish me for my impatience.

I’ve been trading emails with another well-known aftermarket crystal seller and getting nowhere. All I’m asking for is a gasket and crystal with AR for my 116503. How is that so difficult?

After factoring in time, genuine crystals are beginning to look pretty cheap.

not sure how i ended up here but this thread is a goldmine of information for something troubling my head right now ok so now i can source a crystal for my GMT.. now i gotta find a modder to replace said crystal that does not have years long waitlists -.-

These pictures are exaggerated a little / shows the worst possible angles/lighting for clean.

I just got deep for the first time and it's noticeably better than the stock which I also have on another, but I'd say this thread is kinda exaggerating it a bit, clean looks fine most of the time.

I have just ordered a deep crystal for this exact model, I don’t think the crystal is too bad on mine but it does feel like it needs something done, I’m hoping the change is noticeable when it’s installed which most comments seem to suggest it is.
