Daytona 116509 blue dial questions

I ordered a clean Daytona with blue dial last night and the TD messaged me back after I submitted the payment stuff from PayPal “Your order is only available for the same price as BTF if u wanted to go with bro, let us know your decision, thanks.”
With our language barrier I’m not exactly sure if he’s saying they can’t get the Clean or if the BT is also available. Regardless it does appear he’s offering the BT for the same price.
I messaged him back and said I only wanted the clean. He hasn’t responded yet and now I’m wondering if the BT is a better option with this particular model.
If anyone has any thoughts on which is better I’m all ears. I’ve read what’s available regarding this model but I know there’s some Daytona members that have encyclopedic knowledge on these watches. To further complicate things I have a BT case and bracelet in rose that’s still in the protecting wrapper that I plan to have plated white gold or white gold followed with rhodium if better wearability.
I appreciate you guys help with this.

I got a Clean Daytona 116506 (Ice Blue on brown ceramic) from CTime. Not the cheapest dealer. Order in June. 3 weeks to USA (USPS tracking thru NY delayed a few times = normal). I posted pics of it. Not sure if dial is like the Gen 95-100% but it looks great. See my pics here below on my post link. I will be in Vegas soon and might stop into a retailer to see a Genuine if I can. Movement is about +5 sec a day. Pretty good. No sound from inside. Getting pressure tested tomorrow.

Not sure if dial is like the Gen 95-100% but it looks great. See my pics here below on my post link. I will be in Vegas soon and might stop into a retailer to see a Genuine if I can. Movement is about +5 sec a day. Pretty good. No sound from inside. Getting pressure tested tomorrow.

That list is fine but the real nuance of the rep game is that most replicas do not have an obvious best model.

It simply lies in the details and factors.

For example. 5 digit subs BP vs ARF. The ARF is the superior model but at the price point many of us prefer BP since ARF 16610 costs as much as a VS sub or more and doesn't match. While the BP costs 300 bucks.

Even the Submariner line. VS vs Clean is a subjective choice and more nuanced than "VS is the best". Like Clean's Hulk is better overall than VS minus the crystal. Or the two tone Subs, Clean is better than VS in gold tone and details....

I’ve been using Andiot watches. It’s one of the new Trusted Dealers here and I like the way they do things. Their prices are frequently considerably lower than the other TD’s. The Clean Daytona was $660 plus $35 shipping. I ended up switching to the BT factory on this Daytona for the same price. The cleans need crystal and I don’t want it bouncing around in the mail anymore than absolutely necessary.
I’ve been using that spreadsheet since getting back into reps. It’s a good tool but there’s factors it doesn’t take into account.

I totally agree. The vs subs are better on their 41mm watches but clean is far superior on the rest of the subs. Since Clean started using the same movement as vs in the 40mm reps Clean is the way to go. Clean has a better dial, bezel insert, case, and bracelet than the vs. The crystal is the only thing the 40mm vs reps have that are better than clean and that doesn’t offset everything the clean reps have to offer.
BP’s are my pick on 5 digit reps also and reps with the 2836 movements. I’ve got a couple on the way from the non trusted dealer I’ve been using for a year or so now. A green 50th Anniversary submariner and a Pepsi with the blue dial. I’ve got a v3 Pepsi insert that I might swap out but I haven’t made up my mind yet. I’m not sure if it’ll fit or if it’s really needed.

I would stick with CF if I were you, especially if don’t plan to upgrade the dial. BTF Daytona dials are less gen like than CF. I know you might have read otherwise, but believe me, if you pay attention to the details like the subdials sizes and placement you won’t be able to unsee it.. but at the end it’s your choice and I bet the difference is not a deal breaker.

OP - I’ve got three of these BTF 116509 dials. Very happy with them myself.

He said he originally ordered a Clean Daytona in blue, so I sent links to my pictures. I enjoy helping out, but I might have shared too much or included some irrelevant details. On the other hand, I appreciate reading Zeta's information—it's useful and welcoming. Overall, I'm glad I responded because I gained some helpful insights.

I’m planning to do a Frankenstein with the BT 116505 rose gold case and bracelet I have. Have it plated white gold, gen dial if I can get one for a decent price. Then maybe Gen hands.
I’d like to use the 4131 movement but I don’t know if the 4130 dials will mount up properly to a 4131 movement or if a 4131 will fit in the BT 116505 case. I’ll probably have to go back to the drawing board.
I wanted the Clean but everything I read had me buying a new crystal for a clean Daytona and I don’t want to ship off my new watch. The side by side didn’t look better either way to me. Everyone has their favorites and reasons for them. This won’t be my last Daytona.

As already explained the OP is a BTF, the TD is Andiot...I don't recommend my TD to you because lately it's just been causing chaos

I quite agree with what @Asm56660 said, but this dial in particular in my opinion is really difficult to interpret and compare with the Gen, the same applies to BTF or CF, then it depends on everyone's personal tastes and sensitivity.

Anyway, I'll try to post some pics of my Clean in different positions directly under the sunlight (two more of the same Blue are arriving, part of a refund from a TD...long story ), they might be useful to some users who have the same doubts I had and evidently had the OP:

TBH I was a bit confused as he originally wanted a CF, the my confusion started.. my bad beautiful watch brother, I have an RB dial and looking for a 116509 watch to install in on.. originally wanted a CF but now will settle for BTF if that’s the only option available..
Also looking for a CF sports bezel from the same WG 116509 but no luck yet

Yes @Zeta7 as I was saying it's a Clean...but I'm sorry, in the case I will sell the entire watch and not just the dial.

I ordered the exact same model - Clean 116509 Blue Dial, a couple months back. After waiting for a few weeks several Clean batches were released but none had this watch in it. I was told that this is a "niche" product for CF. I was offered to switch to BTF but like you I was dead-set on Clean. I ended up switching to a 116520 in the end as there was no telling when clean would be releasing more 116509 blue dials. Keeping an eye out for one on M2M.
