Like the topic states, I'm looking into "building" this mod with a e.g. Noob 116500 and trying to find an Oysterflex to fit together with SEL just like in the picture (borrowed, not mine) attached.
Anyone who has done this and knows how to do it? Meaning, which SEL to get and which OF that fits?

Get either Noob or Arf's oysterflex from a TD and get some smarty endlinks, they should fit nicely

thanks for your answer. Where would you get the smarty end links?

Exactly what I had done, when I got my smartylinks TD were yet selling them.

Tips:

1) there are two types of oysterflex bracelet, ones for Yachtmaster and one for the Daytona. The YM has a thicker end at the lugs, whereby your links will not fit between the bracelet and the case. So buy the one for Daytona. I got mine from a spare I had with my 116519 and M2M (as I need two pieces)
2)know your bracelet size, at least with the Noob, the sizing is not like for like with gen, you can use the gen chart but it will not give you the correct reference. The easiest way to figure out your size is to measure each end of a sized metal bracelet with mounted the same clasp. Note down the length on each end. Then come back to us to see we can possibly help you with the sizing or contact the TD to confirm the actual length of each strap.

Beautiful! I like that combo very much. Have been on the list for a gen 116500...and you all know the rest of that story ;). So in the "meanwhile" I figured this is what I'd like to do. Thanks a lot for the tips. I'll first make sure to get a Noob 116500 then take care of the rest. Have a nice day!

Make sure you get the right variant of the version, the V3 can come in the fat subdial of which you should avoid as is not as accurate. I ended up trading mine as I couldn't stand the subdials.

how do you make sure? Via the QC pics, or you have other hacks?

Get the Endlinks from Intime. They are an excellent fit to the Noob case.

Really nice! You know if any TD would do this work, putting on the SELs and an OF upon purchase of a Noob Daytona?

Is something you can do yourself, you simply take the existing bracelet out.

QC, the latest batch should be fine. Just do some research on the forum to tell the difference.

Mine says hello. I got the same endlink for my ARF Daytona and also got a set for my GMT-ii. The first time I got the oysterflex I got the ones from ARF with the metal strip I'm them, I believe I paid $60 for a pair. No issues with them. The last two orders I got the ones from RBF, they sell for $40 a segment so you can buy each size if you are not sure what you need. They also come with the thin metal piece in them. I truly can't tell any difference between the two "factories" and they could very well be the same. My TD told me that the RBF are the best version so I trust him and got them. I also ordered the white version of them to maybe mount my white face daytime for my wife to year. I know they don't make a gen version of them but I like the look and so does she.
