Why they always take the photos with de function date set at 28?

Probably just because it looks more balanced. Both digits have the same width and fill the date window.

For the same reasons that most watch adverts show the time as 10:10, creates a smile that your subconscious mind views without you realising it. Numbers are always a challenge as most cultures have a lucky / unlucky or other hidden meaning.

The 10:10 hands position is an option for aesthetics proposes.

Diagonals creates a pleasente image to the viewer and keeps the eyes on the image without letting the viewer go away from the center

Now the 28 option on the function data window, is an option that I only found on Panerai and Rolex. For sure there is a reason...
