I just purchased a Davidsend 111h and im in the process of buying some straps for this and i have read that there are certain straps that will not work with this model so rather than buying straps that i cannot use i would rather ask other members who already own this watch for feedback.

Thanks

Sorry, cant help you with the straps, but I'd love for you to post some pictures when you get a chance. I would like to see the watch.

I have one of his 177H watches and the measurement between the lugs is about 24.5mm so any straps that "run big" like my Greg Stevens crazy Horse and historic brown fit perfect, but my Strap Culture calf strap leaves a tiny bit of space on each side.

The only ones that I have heard that will not work are the SS and TI bracelets. This is because of the distance from center of the hole to the side of the case is just slightly larger on David's watches. I hope this helps some.

Thats a good Idea. please post on what you find out. I have a 36 from david and I am about to get the 195 from him. It would be great to know modding the bracelets is a possiblity.

I have had trouble with TC straps--the TC Dirks and Marinas, because they fit so snug to case when on the screws in the lugs.

I have been using just the straps Davidsens supplies as a result

Well what i will do is take some pics of the Latest 111h that he has to offer and try some of the straps that im going to buy to see how they fit. I was looking at some shell cordovas and gregs crazy horse that are currently being sold on paneristi.com but i thought i would ask first.

I have a crazy horse on my Davidsen 177H. Perfect combo IMHO. Greg makes great stuff and is a great guy to work with.

erdoc,

Thats great news hi straps would look like they make a great combination and at that price i really want to make sure that the straps will fit the watch. Thanks for all the info its really helpful. Can you tell me if you received any special prices or did you pay full retail value?

what you have to consider when buying a strap for dvs pans, is the thickness of the strap cuze the fact that the lugs on the case doesn't stick out as much as on the other pan cases. This causes the case to "scrape" the strap, if it fits to thight. So long the strap is thinner then 3.5 mm np, but I'm doubtfull that an EL's 5.5 mm la spezia strap would work on a dvs pan.

BTW, i'm talking about the 44 pams

I don't think Greg does discounts unless you're a friend/repeat customer.

DON'T mention it's for a rep, as I understand he is not a fan of replica watches.

I have the new GeF 5.5 mm strap on my DVS 111H and it fits fine. It fits snug to the case, but it rotates just fine and feels great.

my davidsen 195 on a custom made walter strap. the lugs are too short and you can see the resulting problem.
