Davidsen's 195 arrived

Overall very happy. The watch did exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, both watch hands are not coated evenly on one side.

You can see what I am talking about on this pic. Look at the hour hand under the "R" in marina... there is no black paint on the side in about half of the hand.

Contacting Davidsen for advice.

Betcha a $0.25 that the white you see is actually lume and not that the hand isn't coated.


Pop the movement out and take a sharpy marker to it.

Sending it back for replacement. Davidsen said the hands may have gotten scratched during assembly.

You may be right, but still... no way. I don't have a tool to open it, nor I want to risk a bigger screw up. I have never opened a watch and this one is not going to be the one that I pop my cherry with.

I'm going to play it safe and go for the swap.

I am STILL waiting for my 195 from this batch to arrive. So I will see if mine has this problem.


This is starting to suck though. My tracking number shows a package leaving HK but never shows it arriving in the states or anywhere else.

Speed - For whatever it's worth I recieved my 195 on Sat. and all I ever saw with the tracking number was that it left Hong Kong on Mon. The watch never showed in USPS.

At risk of redundancy...

A little something from David San arrived this morning. Only nit is a black fleck on the 3, otherwise great finish, lume, etc.
