as of now I am happy with my 127, reluming and cannon pin fix done from vaccum.
the complete deal was done very proffessional, incl payment and shipping etc....

All my stuff coming in from Asia was in customs, I got it out but always a lot of pain.
I will not fight with you about the quality etc....for me the complete deal counts.

If I look at D's posting, I could buy a lot ...they all look good...but as I said, payment and so on counts too.

I have the Davidsen 111 and I have to say that it is quite a nice piece to marvel at. With the exception of the display back there are really no dead givaways. I was in Vegas Tourneau and was complimented by the Panerai rep. BTW I think a nice thick strap also helps.

i would choose the twp model as it was modded by vaccum. he is doing these at a lower volume than DSN and quality work cannot be rushed.. vaccum's work is fantastic and he checks for quality before he puts his stamp on it....TWP 100% my vote

To pop my Panerai cherry I got a DSN 111h and a Fiddy...(both from his 'ultimate' range...i.e fully modded)...

In all honesty, I can't really fault them...I love them both.......I wear the 111h more ofetn as I haven't got a strap that is deserving of the fiddy yet....

I would say that is the only down side the....standard straps are horrid and just scream......FAKE !! FAKE!!!! you'll need to invest in some decent leather if you want to get the watche's fully potential as a head turner :D

DSN overall, if you are talking about his latest batch, which are a definite improvement over past models. Lug screws are much better and less likely to strip. For the 111H, case and crystal on the DSN is absolutely better than the standard rep. It's hard to see in pics, but the edges of the case are sharper and more defined, like the gen. The standard reps have too soft and curved edges. On prior editions I would say the reps had better dials, but the latest DSN matches them in fit and finish. The cutouts for the numbers are deeper on the DSN than on previous models. Still not "quite" deep enough, but much, much better. I actually prefer this, as it makes the dial more legible at an angle, since the normal sandwich dial tends to cause numbers to be obscured at an angle. Crown and crown guard are definitely better on the DSN models out of the box.

Don't get me wrong, the standard rep can be modded to be very good indeed, but the DSN model has the advantage in small but noticeable areas that add up to give it a better "feel" in person. It's too bad that pics don't really capture this aspect.
