Davidsen black hands on a PAM217

I'm thinking of changing the gold hands on my 217 to Davidsen superlumed black hands as I think it might be a good look. Has anyone seen or done this?

I think it will look sharp as despite being the same as the gen, I think that with the black dial, black strap and silver case the gold hands look wack.

However, wouldn't mind knowing what other people think before I take the plunge.

In the same minimalist vein, here's my 217 - but does show slight colour:

The hands will be much shorter than the fiddy hands. Specially the minute hand. The minute hand will be also thinner. May not look as you expected, or it just may what the doctor ordered...

Please post a pic if you decide to go ahead with this mod.

they appear way smaller being black...but yes, a very minimalistic look.....somewhat very intersting....

I'd like to know that as well, I have a set of fiddy hands from DSN that I'd like to try painting them in black...

Any recommendation on what kind of paint and tool(s) should I use to paint them?

Don't try enamel paint. It just doesn't work. Very gloopy and sticky and just blobs up everywhere.

I'm going to try masking out the lume and giving it a quick dusting with car spray paint this week. I think that may do the trick.
