Just received my PAM312 yesterday with the new P9000 VSF.

The date didn't change last night. Just curious as to whether the date should change itself?

Thanks

The 7750 movement has the slow date change. Both the ETA and the Asian function like this.

The ETA 28XX series movements function with the quick snap date change over. The gen Panerai 7750 also has a quick snap over date change. But it has a special top plate from a 7753. This version is not available to the public.

Date starts to change around 10:30 and finishes around 1:30. That's why some of the TDs website FAQs state not to change the date on A7750 movements between 10 and 2, it's because of the uncertain state of the date change mechanism. If you manually change the date while the movement is changing date, you might damage the mechanism. That's also why I recommend to change the date when the time is at the 6 o'clock position, not knowing whether it's AM or PM, because the movement is as far from starting to change the date or long after the date has finished changing.

Thanks for the tip. Definitely keep that in mind next time I need to change the date.
