I think first things first, figure out how big you want it and what style interest you (Lumimor, radiomir, etc). Then we can help you find something in particular.

When faced with too many options: 1) start looking at tons of wristshots to see which really spark. 2) go to a local AD and try some on.

^^^ This.

1.) Those who are happy with their purchase would certainly post pictures wearing them.
2.) Nothing beats an actual fitting to determine one's preference

or just dive in the pool to get your feet wet as they say and buy the first rep that catches your eye and adjust your preferences from there. ;)

I would prob go with 44mm and leaning toward liminor, or going with a base 000. So many choices lol! Looking closely at a 312. Any recommendation for TD or should I order one from intime?

You can easily find lots of 44mm Luminors on the m2m board if you don't want to worry about paying for shipping, customs seizures, and a 2-3 week shipment time.

GoatTaFuk, if you're set on the PAM312, you might want to look at the PAM1312, as that is a newer version of the watch with a potentially thinner profile and more accurate movement (pending a review). But if you want the current PAM312, then try the Regular Trade Area, there is actually one for sale at the moment (not mine LOL). ;)

I'd read that the 1312 is not that good a rep by ale and the old 312 is more close to a super rep, is that it?

It's all about the timing. If you're talking about ALE's comment on the first PAM1312 released, I would also agree. The first version had the wrong case, using the original PAM312 design, even if beautifully made. However, the V3 of the KW factory's PAM1312 has just been released, and it's looking to correct the case issue (thickness and lug shape/length). ;)

I'd suggest consider a PAM 111, simple elegant and in-between the two you listed. Highly accurate.

Yup I second that sentiment. As a starter Pam that's very much considered a super rep, go with the 111.

Well, if GoatTaFuk prefers the Bettarini case over the 1950s one, you can't pick a better rep to get. Just don't expect a V4 as those are still woefully inconsistent in terms of parts.

Might i suggest a Pam000, Pam005 or a Pam111 just to get you started to see how you like it. These are all 44mm. Or Try out the Noob Pam372. If you like Subs you really can't go wrong with any of the current versions. Although I am nota fan of the ZF version on some and the SF versions. Keep searching my friend. It took me 6 months of lurking on here before i signed up and two months to buy my first rep after signing up. I then bought a Gen Pam000 after playing around with a couple reps from H Factory. Sold it and bought my wife wedding ring. Went back to Reps. Buying Gen is just not worth it when these reps are so damn good and reliable. Cheers. Welcome to the Addiction

Holy batman that is beautiful! Which TD did you get yours from? I wouldn't mind checking out 111, that is gorgeous!

That's a pam111 noob v3/v4 (there aren't any true v4s yet) that any TD can get for you. I highly recommend it. My go to for TDs has always been Sead from Supermirrors, however any TD will be able to source one for you no problem.

I took your advice and will be picking up a 111 as a starter :) but should I wait for true v4? Thank you for your help!

Honestly you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between a v3.5 or a v4, unless you know precisely what to look for. Ever since v3, it's been one of the best Pam super reps out there. You won't be disappointed.
