Depends on which subtype of Radium you are talking about. The range is over 1600 years to a llittle over 11 days. There is more than one type of Radium.

careful people, i was talking with a ( retired ) doctor of Stanford Univ. in the Elk's Lodge on thursday night....the watches luminated with Radium....worn on the inside of the wrist...would cause bone cancer in the swinging area of the arm ( hips....) nobody would believe how many people have cancer because of watches....luminated with radium....nowadays Tritium gas...which can not even penetrate a sheet of paper.
