Hello,

Just want to share here some of my new creations and a new progress in making custom dials as well as other parts.

I bought expensive laser and a new "doors" of custom work have been unlocked. Today i have tried some sandwich aventurine dials with my honeycomb design dial. It's not fully done, i have not decided yet if i want an 18k gold or black rhodium as well as what kind of finishings on the subdials. Either brushed / polished or sandblasted (i also got a new professional sandblaster machine)
Some custom mainspring barrels for my upcoming skeleton daytona and tried some engravings in sapphire crystal.

Here we go:

Holy crap! That dial is amazing man! Yes, that would have been a hella expensive laser if it will do that.
Thanks mate,

I need to learn how to operate all that fancy programs, I'm more manual kind of guy so it might take a while. Those things i was able to achieve in 3 days of having the laser set up in my new office. Can't wait to learn all new things this thing can do;)

oh wow this is impressive, I've been looking for a custom aventurine dial for the longest time, would love to build something similar to this by Artisan De Geneve but uses aventurine dial instead

Aventurine is not transparent, you lose some of the movement visibility

ya I don't mind it, your aventurine dial looks better and also has depth to it with the honeycomb texture. Your dial would be a "sky" or "galaxy" version.

Is this made with an industrial or hobby laser? Roughly how much are we talking? Great work btw, very inspirational !

That dial is beautiful man....excellent work. Just from curiosity, how thick did you make that dial? I'm currently making my own from .020" but am curious how thick I can go and still clear hands on a 2824...

I really like that honeycomb design - very eye catching!

Just measure what you need :)

It's still a prototype, too thick as is, it will be 0.4 when done.

Wow, super cool. As a laser owner I can attest that it beats the hell out of diamond files like when you did that skeleton daytona...which was a work of art by the way.

It's an old expression meaning the final fine points to perfection take the most time...
