Aside from their scarcity, what else makes them so "special"..???...I would love to see some hi-res comparison shots to see the difference between them and other replica cases and cg's... :?:

They are an exact 1:1 replica of an early Panerai Case... I want to say a 001 but I can't remember for sure... They are dead on in comparison with the gen...

Jimmy went as far as getting his case maker completely replicate CG by even creating a rubber insert for CG pin, just like the gen.

I sometimes wish his maker was still around, though. The last I've heard was the factory went out of business, while some say Jimmy pulled out on his own accord...either or, they're not available to us anymore. :(

If I remember correctly Jimmy's case was modeled after a C series. And he got out of the business when his two key suppliers went out of business and began to worry about trademark infringement. I don't have pictures with me but the key differences on the case would include slightly elongated lugs, enlarged case tube, slightly higher bezel and overall better finish. The crownguards.... well you know about the crownguards. And I can say with a straight face that my Jimmy's cg's actually function better than some gens.
