crown winds while being screwed back in. It's a Swiss 2824 and no functional problems and keeps great time. However, I noticed that after setting time, and after screwing back in by first going counterclockwise until a "tick", when I screw in clockwise, it winds the gears still all the way to screw down. I think I read something about this and that Ziggy said that it was fine (or something like that).

Do I have anything to worry about?

Hi, it is fine, probably the stem was cut a bit too short , like maybe one thread or two which is minor and what it is doing is not dissengaging till u get it to the point of screwwing the crown down, it should be ok

Joe, did I tell you that you are frakkin' genius yet?

If I haven't, take it from me, you are a frakkin' genius. Believe me, I'm smart.

My Yacht-Master does this as well. The only thing I'm worried is that the crown gets really hard to unscrew, happens on rare occasions, any ideas why this is?

Hooligan, did I tell you that you're a frakkin' genius too? If not, you are. Trust me, I'm smart. :p

Seriously, thanks guys. I just noticed how anal retentive I am about "reps!" I found myself looking for "flaws" in gens too recently. My watch buff friend called me borderline Autistic already... and coming from him, that's bad...

Not so much on my Swiss 2824, but I'm assuming that your YM doesn't have any functional issues?
