Crown spring removal.

I think the spring pressure on my SA ruined the thread.When you screw in, it is on the the first thread and you have to changefingers to screw further, this way, the threads dissolve over time from front to back.

Is this spring removable? would like to do this after repair.

First of all, you get more help by starting multiple threads on the same topic....

That said, what ruined the thread on your SA is the crappy alloy used for the parts and the lack of lubrification. It has nothing to do with the spring.

The spring is removable on some gen crown, but I doubt it is on a rep crown.

Where is the spring located, i didn' see it in the crown, just feel the pressure.
