Recently picked up a superocean abyss chrono. I belive its a noob but either way the crown is pretty loose when unscrewed. I took the stem out and unfortunately can't just screw the crown down. I think it could be a bad clutch in the crown, but I'm not 100%. Being this watch isn't sold any more I have to source a crown. I attached a picture of the movement and crown. Any advice or thoughts on how to source a crown is highly appreciated!

Hmm that's gonna be a tough one .I mean the grip pattern of the crown is pretty common but we need a new tube with a off brand crown. Can you still set the watch with that crown ? If anything fails we might just remove the threads and shorten the stem to make it a push in crown

What I was thinking... kinda new to all this. I can set time/date just feels horrible. I did come across this

But have no clue how to tell if it will work or not haha.

I think you have got a very different problem here if you say you can set date and time but it feels horrible, the keyless work might be disengaged at some point. This problem wont be changed with a new crown but rather by taking the movement apart and re-engaging the keyless work.
Generally talking out the crown and putting it back in is not plug and play. You need to be careful and hit a certain spot to properly put it back in. Does the crown stay in the movement or is it coming out without pressing the crownrelease „button“?

Crown does stay in the movement, released by the button. When I have the stem/crown out the crown has a good amount of play on the end of the stem. That is out of the watch just to clarify. Again I'm a total noob when it comes to anything other than bracelet resizing and a little polish!
