Which PAM models should have brushed finished crown guards? Specifically, should the 113 have a brushed finish crown guard?

Thanks'

So if I understand you correctly, my PAM 113, which has a serial number of E208P/4000 should NOT have a brushed crouwn guard. Correct?

Although your're correct that it should not have a brushed CG, polished CGs are getting harder to find these days. I think Ruby and DSN's 113 still come with polished CG though.

That's correct Joe,
although Ruby's end-of-stock and will most likely start coming out with brushed Cg very soon. Good thing about DSN is that he can make it to your order, brushed or polished CG - he offers both options :).

cheers,

I own one of Ruby's PAM-113s and was wondering what else it needed besides a lume job. Wanted to make sure that the polished crown gard that it came with was correct, which it is. Thanks to all who chipped in to share their expertise.

The only thing wrong with it after the common mods (lume, cannon pin - I think it already has flushed cannon pin, correct? - crown - crown also, it comes with pretty decent thicker crown, but still it can be improved if you wish) is the caseback. It probably comes with standard 111 rep caseback. Other than that, it's pretty much dead on details.

I went to an AD, and the lume on gen 113 when it's not lit, should be white! I was shocked too. It looks white, with almost no yellowish tone to it.

Great purchase and good luck with modding! (post pics pls :))

Your 113 from ruby should have the correct e series caseback that goes along with the e movement and polished cg.

Likw always, you can improve the lume. Crown is one of the better ss crowns available so that is fine.

If you really want, you could mod the Cg lever to improve the feel. But it really is a good rep right out of the box.
