Having read the overwhelming positive reviews of Pam288k, I can resisit nomore and am about to get mine. Yet the only thing still bothers me is the crown problem. Not to be nitpicking but it is quite noticeable that the crown cannot screw all in and a gap is there.

Any experts here can advise if the problem can, and if possible, how to be fixed by DIY?

Thanks in advance!

I have one. The crown not screwing in all the way is barely noticeable - in fact I hadn't noticed it at all until I read about it herein. Moreover its not the only watch in my collection that has the issue!

I read that the stems can be trimmed but thus far I can't get excited about it at all.

Maybe after you have had it awhile it won't bother you, either. Staring at its Rocking Awesome Dial and Blazing Hot Lume (Finally!!!), both of which are SO much better than many others out there, may be more than enough to keep you happy.

Short question? Whats the measure of the strap? 26/24 or 26/22?

Thanks and a good new year to all ...

I had the same problem with my BP 5004, and now you simply don´t screw the crown and there is no gap between it and the case.

Mine works fine although it was pretty hard to get it tightened at first. I'm wondering if a lot of the reported problems are just the new o-ring in the crown??

Thanks for all your kind advice.

Maybe the gap is only noticeable in the enlarged pics. I think I will get this beauty very soon!

Dang, right when I was about to pull the trigger on one of those. I wonder if the stem can be cut down a bit or something

IMHO it's only a miner issue ;) ... a watch-smith can easely fix this

It is an oring problem. Screw it in, unscrew one or two turns, screw in, repeat several times while pressing against the case (to protect the thread). After several attemps there will be no gap :)

Are you serious? Doesn't sound like it could work like this.
