I can´t be the only one with the "thin" crown issue on the 382 (ZF in my case). I have ordered a thicker crown (in steel ) and plan to have it copied in bronze or less desirable plated.
I have thought of other options to have the crown close to the case and make the lever snap.
1. I could machine the crown bridge to shorten distance to the case? enough to make the lever "snap".
2. Applying a thicker gasket behind the crown - would not solve the distance problem.
3. Have a larger "wheel" made for the lever? Maybe it would not look that good.
4. Sourcing a bronze crown with the right size
No luck for me so far.
Any ideas would really be appreciated. Or any hints to who might be able to make a right crown - suppose genuine is out of the question?
