Hi all guys, I am forced to ask it .. because I have not found any answer to my question on the rwi site and not even on the web. what method or tool do you use to unscrew the crown nut? I would like to avoid the pliers. How do I know if and when the nut will be in the optimal position? is it generally screwed in completely? the model I am referring to is a vsf 1661.

Regards
Denny

Hello. No, there is no special tool. This must be done with pliers, in advance, by pasting any film, in order to protect the DLC coating on this metal part.

On the questions of where to turn and to what extent, it will not be possible to answer if you do not explain why? What is wrong, to what extent, and what do you want to fix, respectively, to what extent?

Thanks Kot, I have no particular need, I was simply trying my hand at disassembling this watch and trying different keys I realized that it was not possible to unscrew it with a wrench ... from 5 it is small, from 5.5 it is large and then I e The question arose whether or not there was a suitable key for removal, about how much to screw it and simply out of curiosity, at the moment it seems that the nut is in contact with the case and the watch is thus waterproof. I have personally tested it. since I have improved the water resistance where I could, I would have liked to understand how to improve the stroke of the crown and make it more pressurized on the case and then put the nut back with a bit of blue loctite.
