Crown guard lever shape

Good morning everyone,

Question!
Just picked up a 312 and noticed that the crown guard lever isn't rounded off like many of the other levers I've seen.
But then again, when compared to the catalog, I noticed some models have different lever designs.
Can anyone clarify which is the correct shape for the 312 and whether it should be rounded off or not?
