Hi guys,
Sorry to ask as I am sure it was covered before however I have looked and can not find a thread regarding the matter. I have a 372 with A6497 movement that when I close the CG lever is just a little loose toward the end of the closure. Should I just leave it alone or is there an easy fix. I guess to sum it up properly the lever does not lock in tightly.....Thanks in advance!!!!

Does this mean the CG lever is not applying pressure on the crown? I'm just wondering whether the crown gasket is missing or needs replacing.

Look to see if the crown is making contact with the lever. Regardless removing the CG pin and filling the hole with watch makers cement (GS Hypo) then replacing the pin will tighten things up nicely.

Thank you for your replies, Luke Warm was right on the money!!!! I needed to have the crown gasket replaced with a thicker one. She is in the mail on her way back.
