H series upgrades

-

I have the same watch - a good one, which was then modded w/ fixed pin and C3 superlume. I also was thinking about the CG upgrade - I expect the 112H mods can be accomm.

I believe that homer / finepics have run CG + crowns, but I am not strictly in the know for RWG runs.

I'd also like to make some of these enhancements.

Re: H series upgrades

Have you tried contacting 'Pam' on this forum or RWG ? It always pays to PM him...

He's supposed to have few 'Palp crowns' left in S/S, PVD and brushed-style S/S as a substitute for Ti crowns.

cheers,
babola

did they ever do the Homer/Finepics run of CG's?

No, not yet, unfortunately...:(

Finepix aka Mr.Smith started the whole initiative some time ago, but it was one of those things that start well, but don't eventuate.

Homer never offered thicker CGs as a spare part, you had to purchase the whole case. His cases/CGs were the same as the ones that used to come as 036MM from Ruby, for example.

It really comes down to someone with a gen G or H-series hystoric PAM to send his/hers CG to a person with a CNC machine able to 'copy' it. So far no one has raised the hand :)

Thanks for clarifying that opacity Babola - I have been wondering about delivery and possibilities.

Would be gutsy to pay up for a 111H/112H, dismember it and send to CN for the veracity.

BTW, I wore my mate's gen 111H in Fiji and to me the dead giveaway was not the CG/crown but the bridges' finish (edges/CDG) once you flipped it over - the AR also.

I know what you mean Brad, fortunatelly we don't flip our reps over too often in from of others,

As far as 'dismembering' the gen for replication purposes goes...it's been done before by Jimmy Fu, where the whole PAM001 case/CG/caseback etc was nicely copied by his CNC guy to the extremely close 1:1 ratio.

but that's now history...
