Couple of 249 questions

1. Has anyone got a source for a good domed plexi for a 249?
The DSN one is too tall as is, but maybe could be trimmed down. Any others?

2. Anyone have a good, reasonably straight on photo of the 'OP' crown used for the 249?

I would say that cousinsuk would be the place for the plexi.

Yep, CousinsUK would be it.

I have a 40mm low-dome acrylic from them that I never ended up using. I can send it to you for testing/evaluation/whatever, if you'd like.

Hi Guys,

I'm in a Cali frame of mind too, does anyoe know how the trusty time 249's compare against the gen's, (for dome height).
Also changing out the dome and crown, how difficult is it ? Is it something that a novice should attempt.

Just finishing building a Kampfschwimmer for someone and it's given me the idea to try and do a better 249 as the ones I see about have problems that bug me.

I've got a Sternkreuz HWS400 in stock but was hoping to find something better. Tried HSW & AGT as well but they don't stock anything to suit.

I'll have a play at the crown as soon as I get a chance :twisted:

I like the cali dial, if you do start an 'ultimate' version i'm game. What's the standard of the ones you've seen 'out of the box'.
