can any body tell me what cortes de Geneve Bridges bridges are.

and is this movement a 6497?:

Movement: Asian Unitas 17 J Manual Handwind movement, Cortes De Geneve Bridges, Swan neck Regulator 21600bph

as soon as you hear asian or A6497 , it is not swiss

although it is funny since some gen swiss watches have asian parts in them

Actually Rolex is one of the only brand that does not produce anything in Asia :)

from what i understand most of the stainless steel models made from the past 4 years to today have alot of asian parts in them not all swiss, somthing to this effect was told to me by a rolex ad, he actually sells many many watches but he said the truth about rolex

personally I think its stupid for a company to buy in a movement from eta, decorate it (thus making the cost of the watch go through the roof) and then have a ss caseback. What is the point... Im talking to you Breitling, Omega, Bell and Ross etc.

And still, that is exactly what saved the swiss watch industry in the 80s...

I'm 100% sure all the parts from Rolex are made in-house, in Swizerland. I've got the info from an executive at jaeger lecoultre.

Maybe he told you that to show-off, because I don't even know how a Rolex AD could have a clue where the parts are actually made.

he carries, jaeger , rolex, breitling, harry winston,buti, iwc,brm,and soooo many more, this store is a watch paradise, if i ever saw one, he goes to basel every single year and has events a few times a year, i really beleive he knows his stuff, but im not going to argue...
