This is probably a silly question but this is the correct way to have this strap in the buckle, right? It just seems odd with the "keeper" and all.

Hmmm.... Sorry, that does not look quite right. Looks like the part which mounts through the holes should have the hardware pass on the inside surface of that strap, or the whole deployant is flipped around, but probably the former.

Looking at the Omega "directions" in the Planet Ocean book that comes with the watch, this looks correct but still seems wrong just because its so hard to get the keeper on the excess strap.

could be... can you show a pic with the deployant closed?

Maybe your wrists are just too big ? :)

I think the reason it looks off is that you probably shouldn't have a keeper on there at all. I have a few deployant clasps like that (where the excess is under the band), and I don't have a keeper on any of them.

Seanf is right. This band isn't supposed to have a keeper at all. Take it off and you should be good to go.

Yep I see the problem. It needs a black rubber strap. Yep that's it. :D
