Considering a Bronzo build. Anyone have experience with this?

Not really finding what I’m looking for with TD’s, and also understanding folks are reluctant to part with their special watches, I’ve become motivated to build my own. Does anyone have experience with this, and in particular, with this kit found on EBay? Intriguing to say the least.
Would be curious to know of any place to look for a 6497 movement.
Thanks, and I’m really glad to have found this community.

The ebay seller is well known on the homage forum as 'River' and sells high quality parts for vintage builds. I was not aware that he was producing bronzo sub cases but it looks good. The 'kit' would obviously build a fantasy watch but if you like it then nothing else matters.

You can also find A6497's easily enough on ebay - just search for 'seagull ST36 movement'. They're cheap and pretty reliable bit note that to build the watch shown in your post you would need to remove the seconds pinion.

Good luck!

You seriously plan on building a fantasy watch that in the end will cost you money than you'd have to pay for a top-notch PAM 382?
I'd strongly advise against this, purely on financial merits. But if you want to have a one-off watch and enjoy the building process, go right ahead.

Thanks, Woundup. Great info and insight! Exactly what I'd like to do... fantasy build. Do you recommend a particular dial customizer/builder/supplier?
