Confused on the 111

Hello all

This is my first post, but I've been reading the forum every night for a few weeks now. The information on here is incredible.

I'm looking to get my first REP from PureTime — a Panerai 111, but unsure as to which one is the best one to get — in terms of closest to GEN.

It's also my understanding that the best practice is to get the rubber and then get an aftermarket leather strap. Who makes good (similar or close to GEN) ones?

The watches you've linked ate all 111M-editions.

The BEST 111 you can get is the newer N model, made by noob-fact. Here is the link

I've bought straps from Gunny and from Savage. Both do superb work. Not cheap, but they set off the watch! You MUST buget for a good strap if you buy a Panerai--especially something as classic as the 111.

Gunny straps are very pricy... Usually about 100$ new. I would contact a member on here named 'Bronzy' he makes custom straps that are awesome for a very reasonable 30-50$

Thanks gang, awesome info. Decided to pull the trigger on a black Milgauss instead. But I will keep this info on hand. The next one will be a 111 if the first one works out ok.
