Unless you're going to take off the watch and show the movement around (which I suppose not) any swiss ETA upgrades imo isn't worth it considering the A6497 is already a robust movement.

The only upgrade I did to my PAM was the CG where I bought one that had the pin sitting flush, correct lever angle and perfect polish. Otherwise the 111 V3 is a super rep as it is :) you won't be dissapointed!

There are two small tells. The shape of 2 and the incabloc. I don't think you will need mod them as the tells are minor.

Also:

-The short micrometric screw in the swan neck.
-The shape of the swan neck, namely the lack of curvature on the edge where the two screws are.
-The rounded tops of the crown and ratchet wheels. Usually at least one is round.
-The polished beveled edges of the crown and ratchet wheels.

PAM 111 Noob V3 is a very good rep but it has, as always, many little (or no little) flaws

If you really are interested in a detailed description of them, you can get all info about the caseset and movement flaws in three complete threads:

Fantastic rep as is. I would recommend you order it on rubber and then source a gen or other high end leather strap. The rep leather strap is not great. But u won't be disappointed in the rep rubber.

When it comes to a watch being in "need" of modification, thats all up to the individual owner. I do agree the noob v3 is great out of the box, but the movement is quite horrible compared to Gen... and dont we all alway compare to gen? Thats why there was such a fuss over the Seagull PAMs, because the balance assembly is in a location much closer to Gen... so even though others will rarely see the back of our watches, it does matter.

If you don't mind, who did these upgrades for you? Thanks!

I just purchased the Pam 111 N V3 from toro just now. I was going to pay the extra for the swiss movement but everyone on here is telling me dont waste that money due to the movement that comes with the Pam 111 N V3 is just as good. I did pay to have the watch waterproofed to 5atm because sometimes i forget to take off my watches when I shower so I figure with the 5 atm waterproofing it should more then protect the watch from water damage because i usually remember within a few seconds that im wearing one of my reps in the shower. lol... Does anyone know if these watches can trully be waterproofed for scuba diving in water depths of minimum 50 feet deep? i have toro doing the waterproofing on my watches i buy from them and so far i bought the Roles Noob v5 3atm and the Rolex DSSD at 5atm and the Pam 111 N V3 at 5 atm. Id like to have the rolex reps professionally waterproofed to minimum 100 meters but not sue if thats even possible. any info is much appreciated...

Hi, technically it´s no problem, there are several reps water-resistant to 10 ATM and it will not cost more than have a gen Rolex waterproofed and tested to 300m.
I use reps for swimming (after silicon-greasing and tightening) all the time, but would not rely on them for scuba diving and would only rely on an European/American local test. Next time You go just take one of them along for fun and than report how it performed:)
