Confirming my suspicions

Hi guys. I own an old Unitas movement PAM203. The crystal and the case are so beat up that I am thinking about swapping the case and the crystal with PAM127. Obviously the crown guard will have to be changed as well, but can you think of any concerns about doing it. As far as I know 203 case is the same as as 127 case. Right?

Since you are putting a Unitas movement which also based in the A6497 design, I expect it to work with the rep PAM127 case which uses the A6497 movement. Generally speaking the OP numbers on the PAM203 and the PAM127 are different which may indicate a difference in how the cases are constructed. It may not be external as the two look to be using identical Fiddy style cases but it may be internal because of the Angelus SF240 in the PAM203. The crown guard on the existing PAM203 is different in orientation from the PAM127 so I hope the one on the PAM203 is still okay, or you are willing to live with the PAM127 crown guard instead.
