Complete 4th Gen Omega Planet Ocean Mod and Upgrade Guide

I ve received too many PMs regarding PO modding. So, here you go...

1. Hour/Minute/Second Hands
The rep hands are too short and small. It's highly recommended to upgrade the hands. The lume of the genuine hands are much better.

2. Spring bar
The rep springbar is not tight enough. If you have a genuine omega, you can notice that the bracelet locks into the case tightly.

A pair of OEM spring bar is ~$8 + shipping

3. Crown guard and crown tube
The crown guard of the 4th gen PO is a big give away.

You can fit in an OEM crown guard with an OEM crown tube.

Crown guard: Omega Crown 42184 Model 2209.50.00 Part number: 069 ST 42184

Case Tube: Omega Case Tube Model 2209.50.00 Part number: 090 ST 1232

The case tube is a little bigger. So you ll need to drill the hole of the case a little bigger.

Also, you may need an ETA-2824 stem. You can find it on ebay.
This guy is selling it for $2.80 on ebay.

The stem is a little longer, so you ll need to cut it shorter.

I don't have a dremel, so I wasn't able to fit the tube in the case.

4. Bezel
The pearl is quite ugly on the rep.

It's too expensive imo. Not worth it.

5. OEM Dial

again, too expensive. Not worth it.
Not sure if it fits. The worst case is to cut the legs and use dial dot stickers.

6. Bracelet Clasp

One member installed the OEM clasp on the rep bracelet. It looks pretty nice.


7. Leather/Rubber Strap
The 4th Gen 42.5MM PO uses 20mm straps.

The part number is for the black dial black bezel version its the same hand pretty sure its the correct color too.
If its not just order for the 2209.50

Yes I am, but Roy fixed it after my post. He was using Google who don't like remote embedding.
