Thank you @puretime for the detailed comparasion.

For me, the biggest issue with white dial reps, especially the Daytona, is the warmth of the white. And tbh, it's even harder to capture in photos since most of the DCs we use now run on auto white balance. Add in a bit of Photoshop, and photos rarely tell the truth. You really have to see it in real to judge. Black dial is a lot easier.

Personally, I think the dial from Clean looks a bit excessively white. It might not be obvious in the stitched comparison photos taken separately.

Here’s a shot where they’re placed side by side under the same lighting, you can see how noticeably white it appears.
They both do, gen is warmer. RBF dial is supposed to be closer to gen in color, better subdial reflectivity too. I'll post a side by side once mine arrives.

I have the VSF version. Can someone provide any details as to how well all the hands are compared to the GEN version?

Dial colour can also be affected by the crystal and maybe the variances in the crystal quality can change the look of the dial, i wouldnt be surprised if the dial colour on the clean is a brighter white but then enhanced by the crystal or maybe the AR coating as a blue hue raise the whiteness of the white color like it does on Xenon headlights. Ive seen some post on here (cant recall them )but swapping the dial on the Clean for a gen does effect the dial colour a little, that said the paint is obviously not the same paint code. I find it odd that they havent managed to get the white right by now. But then I guess maybe that is an effort the factories think isnt worth it?

The white was always an issue on the explorer 2's as the gen the white dial blends perfectly with the white colour of the superlume but reps often dont match and the hour markers often look too yellow, or a bit blue and from what i get the superlume is pretty much the same stuff

Yes, and Clean is famously consistent when it comes to using subpar crystals. All my Clean reps tell the same story, the one on the 116500 is slightly better, but the one on my Clean SD43 is the worst.
