Hello all, did not want to post this but felt compelled to do so after repeated cases of poor communication.
Let me preface this by stating that:
- I have full awareness that this is not Amazon and that the purchasing process takes time.
- I have remained polite throughout the process.
- I have given reasonable chances and time to the TD before deciding to highlight this purchase experience.
I have placed an order for a watch, full service and extra strap.
I GL'd the watch on 1st March. I also request timegrapher results from after the service once it is complete. This gets agreed.
However, I have not received any indication regarding the servicing status since the GL.
I remained quiet until the 25th March, when I requested an order update. I'm not expecting a completed service at this point as I know these can take a while, but simply wanted an update.
I received a video of the watch being water tested with a timestamp from the 12th March but no timegraph report. At this point I suspect the watch was waterproofed but not serviced.
I ask for timegraph results. Andrew says he'll chase his watchsmith. This has been the case for the past 2 weeks now with messages back and forth of promising to get back to me after contacting his Watchsmith but he never seemingly manages to do so.
I have asked for two things;
1) An estimated date or time period - Have not gotten one
2) Whether or not the service has started
I ask these because I will then be able to deduce the situation.
if the watch has been serviced, I don't understand why it should take this long to stick it on a timegrapher.
If the service has not yet started (despite it being a month), then I would like to take the opportunity to cancel the service.
If it is still undergoing service, Andrew simply needs to tell me, with an estimated turnaround time if it is the latter.
but as of now, I am in some sort of information limbo as to what exactly is going on with no clear path to resolution nor signs of progression.
I have been posting a full account in this thread.
