Still looking, still looking..... I really like the look of Davidsen's PAM 056 Destro (and presume the 055 is the right handed version of it). Anyone have one that they can comment on? Is the titanium just oxide over stainless or is it solid? From his photos it looks absolutely gorgeous--but how accurate to the gen? Is he the best person for titanium pannies or would you recommend anyone else--particulalry in light of recent comments on the board here? What about the CG. Should it indeed open from the top as it does in his picture, and I presume that the destro CG can't simply be a flipped over from the 055 or are they symmetrical? Cheers, all, from Vancouver, Canada

DSN is the only dealer still producing Ti cases, AFAIK. So, yeah, he's the one to go to for Ti PAMs. It's real Ti not some form of treated SS.

I can't tell from his photobucket pics, but I don't believe that he has made a true destro crown. For the C and D series (both 055 and 056) Panerai CGs had offset CG levers -- that is the lever was closer to the top edge of the CG than the bottom edge. The destros were mirror images of the "normal" crown guards so that the lever was *still* offset towards the top edge of the CG. If you simply flip over a regular CG for use on a destro, the top becomes the bottom and the CG lever is now offset in the wrong direction.

Perhaps someone has a picture of a Ti destro DSN directly from the side of the CG to help us out?

I thought that would be the case about the CGs. Does it make much of a difference visually? Is it sorta instantly noticeable?
