Thinking of buying a Panerai Kevlar Dive Strap. I love the look of it but wonder if the large clamp/clasp on the bottom would be too bulky for daily wear. Has anyone here worn one and be able to give feedback. Also I believe these have leather on the inside of them, does that make them not great for swimming? (planning on a getting a nice replica version vs gen.

Well never had one but I do remember my g-shock I had as a teenager, it had a velcro strap, and the smell it produced after a while was so bad... I hated it and couldn’t be washed out.

Over time, the strap will fray at the sides, especially the end of the long strap which will rub on the inside of the buckle).
I wear my sub on the kevlar with a polo shirt and jeans.
exactly, would be too much with a suit, even though I wear sometimes the 372 with tie and suit

They're nice if you don't want the dive buckle. But between the two, I would prioritize having the dive buckle rather than the kevlar strap.

I concur!
Plus you can have custom straps made for the buckle, not the other way around. That's why I have both the bronze and steel buckles (just the 22mm though).
Thanks for the photo and input on comfort.. I'll be geting one for my dead PAM 243 - need to resurrecting the movement love that watch. your's look fantastic too!
