PAM422. Different crystal than the one used in the PAM127 so there's less distortion.

No, there aren't AFAIK. The PAM386 has a flat crystal but it's automatic, the dial isn't black and the case is not stainless steel, so that's one step forward, 3 steps back.

If you can do without the seconds hand the 372 has a flat crystal, only slightly raised, its stainless and 47mm

Looked up the 386 and that would have been a great one if it was at least stainless steel.

The genuine came with both sapphire and plexi crystals — there are usually both tall and short sapphire crystals on eBay.

The distortion is not due to the material. It is due to the shape of the crystal. The domed crystal on the PAM127 is sapphire and the flatter crystal on the PAM372 is plexi yet the former has more distortion. The PAM422 I recommended is basically the Marina version of the PAM372 (in as much as the PAM111 is the Marina version of the PAM112). Plus it has a sapphire crystal instead of the plexi.

The list of watches that fall into that category is so extensive. Let's hope a factory picks up at least some of them to re-release.
