So, which black dial "mechanical" PAMs have closed backs again?

I know the 000 and 005 do; are there any other black dials that are manual? I'm not so hot on the autos for PAMS.

Ahhh, are those all Pre-V models?

No, they're vendome. 001 and 002 were made until the D-series.

Actually, 003 was a closed back too - forgot to list.

these are all T dials, right? How is the quality for these on the reps? Do the reps come with correct dials and case backs?

Not all are T dials.

Upto B - they used to Be T dials and in the middle of the production of B Panerai switched them to L dial.

So there are some T- B-series dials and T - L-series dials.

A series are always T-dials.

The only 2 casebacks used for all these models are OP6518 and 6500 (please correct me if there are more and let me know where you got em  ) OP6518 is for Pam 1 B series and up. OP6500 is Pre-A Pam 1, 2, 4, 9 - (obviously this is the reason why it was repped.

Just like the H-series, there is only a rep SS 44mm caseback for the very basic model (111 for H series - 001 for older Pams) and apply this on all other models.

So answer to your question - No, not all models are accurate.

Pam 001 and 003 (I believe) would be the only models with correct caseback #s.
