Just ordered a Clean Factory titanium Yachtmaster from Andrew at Trusty. Scored an 8 percent discount. As usual, communication with Andrew was
excellent. I've ordered several watches from Trusty with excellent results. Wearing the titanium unit is going to be interesting because I've always worn heavy watches. I'm hoping it will be more comfortable than my previous genuine or replica iterations.

My TW+ YM 42mm TI wears really well. It is light - some won't like that initially, but if you get over "heft = quality" (dropping heft is the point of TI use!), this watch floats on the wrist in an unassuming way and oozes quiet cool. Well, in my view.

Thanks dmatt, I'm glad to hear of your experience. I've always worn heavy watches but think I'll adapt to the lighter weight of Titanium. I'm also looking forward to the brushed finish not showing scratches. I've read contrasting opinions on the hardness of titanium in comparison to stainless steel with most of them saying titanium is harder and therefore more scratch resistant. How is yours working out in that regard?

Only been a few weeks, but so far looking great. In the end, I think everything metal scratches eventually, no matter what; the brushed TI may make resolving any a challenge - but I will likely see this as patina and leave it be.

From my experience this is the opposite. I have the EWF Ti YM (got it about 2 years ago) and it scratches VERY easily. I asked some watchmakers at the time about polishing them out and they said they could do, but it was probably a waste of time as it would scratch again easily.

My understanding (which could well be wrong) is that titanium is very strong for the weight. I think brushed SS is likely more scratch resistant, but maybe let others that know more about metal confirm.

I did love the Ti and wore it a lot, but the EWF mechanism wasn't very good and my collection started expanding 😅
