That isn't good news for VSF, there really is only two reasons why people pick them over Clean (movement / crystal). Will have to see how much Clean raises their prices on the DateJust if they do get the DD3235 movement.According to one of the Chinese dealers
Clean is getting dandong vs 3235 movement in the coming months
Great news and may be a sign that the exclusive rights to vsf maybe ending
Keeping in mind that CF is typically a little more expensive already. I'm sure it will reflect. Will have to see how much Clean raises their prices on the DateJust if they do get the DD3235 movement.
I haven't checked the prices between the two factories lately. When I purchased my Clean DJ two years ago (previous VR3235 movement) it was $100 cheaper than the VSF.Keeping in mind that CF is typically a little more expensive already. I'm sure it will reflect.
Same experience. My VS3230 was gritty for about 2 days, and free-spin crown. Dunzo. Keyless gone and winding gear toast (I'm assuming). I replaced it with a VR3235 (has a ghost position now), but flawless. Works perfectly.Maybe I'm different but VR32xx has always been more reliable for me. I never have problem with it even if it does feel gritty to wind. Meanwhile my VS32xxx reps have had multitude of minor problems lol
It's not considerable (less than $50) but still more money. Either it's a better watch or it's more desirable.I haven't checked the prices between the two factories lately. When I purchased my Clean DJ two years ago (previous VR3235 movement) it was $100 cheaper than the VSF.
VS32x series has had numerous minor keyless complaints, winding slipping, stem failure? a typical minor flaw, and then also a double date skip (date wheel jumps 2 days not one), etc.Same experience. I agree. I've had three VS' conk out on me. all replaced with VR's.Maybe I'm different but VR32xx has always been more reliable for me. I never have problem with it even if it does feel gritty to wind. Meanwhile my VS32xxx reps have had multitude of minor problems lol
Picked Clean because I found it aesthetically nicer than the VSF in everyway. I had a VR3235 and VS3235 movement already and knew both were good. It's not considerable (less than $50) but still more money. Either it's a better watch or it's more desirable.
Can't disagree here, esp. with the 3135. VR3135 is possibly one of my favorite movements.I agree. I've had three VS' conk out on me. all replaced with VR's.
Mind you, all three with the same issue. I was regulating them and the hairspring just got bent out of shape. The regulating pins on them are always so tight.
VS3135's have never run consistently well for me either. But a VR has kept COSC while being dry.
